This was long overdue, but this project was a bust. From the moment I launched it and got good friends to join in, it was a failure. Lack time, access to no resources, lack of access to animation specialists. the lack of skill to do any of it myself... it was a trainwreck from beginning to end and it's probably the reason why most of us don't talk to each other anymore. I've failed... big time. Nothing will change that and nothing will ever bring this project back from the dead.

I was foolish to think this could become a reality. I tried my damn best to try and yet I keep on failing. It was up to me to lead the greatest team on this website to the final product and we never reached it because of my inability to try harder than I already was. I feel guilty about it and I dont think anyone on this team will ever trust me again.

I'm sorry. I really wanted this to be a reality, but the thing is... sometimes we don't get what we want and sometimes you just can't keep going because you don't believe you can do it anymore. This project is dead and, unless a miracle happens, will stay that way along with my other projects that I tried so hard to launch.

But, hey... at least I can imagine cool ideas, right? At least we all can work as a team and do some neat stuff. I just wish that I could've done more and tried harder. :(

I failed you all... and I'm sorry.
Sorry for not being on too often. XD  Doing a MAJOR PSYCH paper due this weekend for the past three weeks isn't really the easiest thing to do, especially if that paper is about a character in a film that will be diagnosed with PTSD/Acute Stress Disorder during the length of the movie's events.  But, I am here and I am still working on the base game.

Assets aren't in, but trying to get its main mechanics to work right is always a challenge, but it seems I have found a few pieces of game-creating hardware that are free and efficient that can help us create this awesome game.  As is, I am taking a look at other games of its kind, wondering how to get the mechanics to do exactly what it needs to when it exactly needs.  XD  This is especially crucial if we are to transition chapters, so, it's really essential that I get the hang of it, soon.

At least some slight progress has been made.  I know I said I'd show you some of the script, but something is telling me I should work on it a lot more before I do, considering the fact that I am not the best writer on the planet, even though I do tend to do great work.  Or, that's what my Psych teacher told me when I wrote my short paper.  :D

Anyways, it's not DEAD or CANCELLED!  XD  I know it takes FOREVER, but that's how things like this work.  If we were getting paid for this and this was an official game production, then definately progress would be up to the point where we are half-way finished.  But, we aren't... unless the new owners of CL could do an agreement with 20th Century Fox, Roland Emmerich, David Arnold and other creators of the film and it's sequel to get permission to make this an official game, but since that'll never happen on this green, vibrant planet, we can't.  XD
It's still going good here.  The game's story is being worked on first, which includes drawing out the new character designs and backgrounds.  What is also happening is recruitment outside of dA, which is EXCITING!  There are a lot of talented people out there, even though a lot of them expect payment.  HOWEVER, there are some shining gems that do this stuff for free, so I will try to recruit all we can who can help develop the actual levels and usable art for the cutscenes.

The game engine being used WILL be changed soon.  I've downloaded a few, such as Unity 3D, to test out and I am liking how easy it is.  However, without proper coding, the game might as well be broken. XD  So, I will try to find an easy-to-use 2D game engine to make the process easy for as well as make the game more open to creative aspects rather than technical.

The story is still being developed and I am making changes to some of the elements.  If you guys have any questions or concerns, relay them here or to my PM.  

VAs, stand-by.  I'll need you later to help piece together an amazing story trailer that will serve as our first helping of our cinematic experience.

WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! :D

As you already know, we are working on another project alongside Hardline. It doesn't mean our project will halt production, but it means that we have another shot at producing something concrete, as well as something we can all share success in and feel good about the work we all do.

We all have big expectations for this project and, since some of us have doubts and we all are eager to work real hard and see it become a reality, our next project can help us not only gain publicity, but also help us accomplish something complete together as an international team! :D

So, let's get to it! :D

Huh the first EP was suppose to be out on May 2015 from what I recently read a few minutes ago. Judging by the comments and lack of search results on youtube, I'm guessing EP 1 has been delayed for some reason right? Some kind of miscalculation on when they'd release it or have it finish I take it? Understandable if so seeing how like Lord Hater from Wander Over Yonder said, animation is hard and those who do it for a living need more respect and all that.

Btw will this fanseries be in english as well?  It certainly sounds interesting.

By default the series is in english yes. The lack of updates is due to the different time zones and scheduelals of all the team mwmhers. Myself included. We had planned to have episode 1 released  may 2015, but due to a team member leaving, we had to fill a couple other slots and that delayed progress even further. Its not exactly easy running a multi-lingual/national team and expect results at the drop of a hat, considering this isn't paid work, its purely a fanmade project.

Very understandable there. Main reason why a fan project is difficult, needing a lot of people and free time, not to mention animation is hard work in of itself.

Well, it's kinda being worked on along with our latest project, ID:CL.  We've hit some pretty big bumps in the road and I, being in charge of the project in terms of writing, finding designers and animators and keeping the team together, have not been the best lately.  HOWEVER, it doesn't mean it's cancelled, so it's still very much alive.  

The reason EP 1 isn't released because it isn't really finished in terms of its writing and I can't really find anyone fitting the bill in terms of designing highly detailed scenes for the script.  The people here do amazing work and it's spectacular, but we're missing that critical component where the show won't work if we don't have someone could help capture the environments just as well as our artists who captured the characters and vehicles well.  

The series is primarily set in english, but we're planning to have French and maybe even Spanish if we can get that far. :)  With the lack of progress being made, mostly my fault, we were kind of feeling down and ID:CL was put into place while working on Hardline to help us bond together more as a team and get more involved. ;)  Creating a video game is just as hard as creating a show and, since weren't seeing results with the show, I was thinking that this one idea I had should be another project that we can complete first to feel the feeling of success and growth and unity. :D  I love Team Hardline to death and I will do ANYTHING to keep us together, no matter how hard things get and if working on ID:CL and Hardline is a way, then I am willing to do so. :D

Like I said, it will be in english and the first episode was delayed... A LOT. XD  But, hopefully, we find that person we need and hopefully we fulfill our requirements and get the first EP done before you know it.  However, we'll need to do that while creating our first game together, so, it will be a challenge, but it will be a challenge that I think we are ready to take.

I see. What's ID:CL exactly? I assume it's the video game?

Hmm..have you tried asking around in other Coke Lyoko groups or in the forums section? There's bound to be someone here that can do the highly detailed environments.

"Independence Day: Code Lyoko" is the name, but ID: CL are the initials. :D

I actually haven't been going to CL groups, but I've been looking at individuals who are just as awesome as the people on this group and I tossed my proposals to them and talked with them about it.  However, seeing that we may have a bigger chance with this game than we had when we tried to recruit more for Hardline, I think we can expand our efforts into these entire CL groups to see if people want to join in on the fun. :D

Thank you for your support and your interest in both the show and the game! :)  It makes us real happy knowing that we have something that people are interested in or even begging for something to be shown. XD  I just can't wait for the big reveal of our game when we have the necessary objectives and requirements fulfilled.

Je suis désolé , mais , pour ce projet , Lyoko ne serai pas complètement présent . Il sera en termes de referrences et flashbacks , mais , nous ne devrons pas Lyoko comme un paramètre majeur. Pour ce projet , nous visons quelque chose de différent et , si nous voulons atteindre cet objectif, nous devons laisser derrière somethings . Il est une décision dure , mais qui doit être effectuée . Nous avons plusieurs endroits différents jamais vu dans Code Lyoko et nous sommes heureux de partager avec vous. Je peux dire une chose, cependant : il ya un endroit que beaucoup de fans reconnaîtront que ce sera un problème majeur dans ce spectacle . ;)

ENGLISH

I am sorry, but, for this project, Lyoko will not be completely present.  It will be in terms of referrences and flashbacks, but, we will not have Lyoko as a major setting.  For this project, we are aiming for something different and, if we are to achieve this goal we have to leave somethings behind.  It is a hard decision, but one that has to be made.

We do have more diverse locations never seen in Code Lyoko and we are happy to share this with you.  I can say one thing, though: there is one location that many fans will recognize that will be a major one in this show.  ;)
